Employment with Better Birth

Position: Staff Midwife

Requirements:


  • Certified Professional Midwife
  • Have taken or willing to take an obstetrical pharmacology course which qualifies a CPM for licensure under Utah Law
  • Current Adult and Infant CPR and NRP certifications
  • Exceptional midwifery skills
  • Desire to work within the BetterBirth system and practice
  • Desire to practice in both the home and birth center settings
  • Must receive license to practice midwifery in Utah within 1 month of start date
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7 for own clients except vacation and arranged times off call (we do not rotate call), and to fill in for other midwives as arranged

Preferred:

1-2+ years experience
Any medical background (such as EMT, Paramedic, nursing)

Compensation:

Depends on experience. We pay midwives a flat fee per course of care, so total compensation depends on the number of clients cared for.
