All of our packages include attentive prenatal visits, your delivery, and your postpartum visits. Also included are your initial prenatal lab work and Group B Strep test (if you desire it). You can also check books out from our extensive library. Our homebirth packages include a birthkit with the supplies you'll need for the birth, as well as our famous towel service (no mess and no laundry for you!). If you're birthing at BellaNatal Birthing Suites, your supplies and towels will be provided by the birthing suites. No matter where you are birthing, consider a waterbirth! Dubbed the “natural birth epidural” by midwives, you won’t believe how great it feels to labor and/or birth in a warm tub of water. Personal,

hospital charges (in case of referral or transport during labor). Waterbirth Service
Dubbed the

designed built-in tub at BellaNatal Birthing Suites or use our portable birthing tub
at home. Both tubs are large and deep, with plenty of room to adopt
any position you like. The portable tubs for homebirth are
4 feet in diameter and 26 inches deep, with plenty of room for both
you and your partner, and fully padded for the ultimate in comfort. The service includes emptying,
cleaning, take down and removal. You don’t have to do a thing except enjoy! Birth Supply Kit Get all the required supplies you’ll need for your homebirth and immediate postpartum period in one easy stroke! You’ll save money and time buying your supplies from BetterBirthLLC. If you tried to buy the contents of this kit yourself it would cost you over $100.00, and you’d have to run all over town. Our kit even provides you with some luxury “extras” you might not buy for yourself, but are oh, so nice! Like disposable protective underwear that NEVER leaks! Don’t ruin
your nice towels! Towels are a required supply item for your homebirth, but if
you don’t have any old ones you can use towels from BetterBirthLLC!
The towel package comes with 10 bath towels, 5 hand towels and 10
washcloths. We’ll bring them to the birth and take them back with us
afterward. NO LAUNDRY FOR YOU! Prenatal Care Only
The same great
care as Complete Maternity care above, but without the delivery or
postpartum care. Each visit is 30 minutes. Beta Strep Antibiotic Service
About 35% of
women carry this bacteria as a normal part of their body flora. However, if
your baby picks it up during the birth process, it could cause serious
illness (newborn ICU for 10 days) or even death. If you test positive for Beta Strep, the administration of antibiotics during labor can drastically
reduce the chance your baby will become ill. With BetterBirthLLC’s
antibiotic service, you will receive injectable or IV ampicillin every 4
hours in labor to protect your baby. Newborn Metabolic Screening (PKU) Test
This test
checks for thirty-six rare but serious conditions that might affect your baby.
We will perform the heel-stick test at 2-5 days
postpartum, and we’ll repeat it at your 2-week checkup. Newborn Blood Typing
Take advantage
of this unique opportunity to know your baby’s blood type without an
invasive needle stick to the baby! The blood in the umbilical cord is the
baby’s blood and can be typed at the birth with no pain to your infant.
Never again in your son or daughter’s life can you obtain the blood type
non-invasively. Keep the results in your child’s medical records or baby
book for future reference throughout his or her life. If your blood type is
Rh-, this test will let you know whether or not it is necessary to receive
expensive lab work and a Rhogam injection after birth, and may save you
hundreds of dollars and a few needle sticks yourself! Newborn Eye Prophylaxis
This application of antibiotic eye ointment can prevent opthalmia neonatorum,
or blindness in the newborn. Newborn Vitamin K Injection
This injection can prevent
hemorragic disease of the newborn, a rare but life-threatening bleeding
