Dads, do your own research and get involved. You will see that doing natural birth with a midwife is safer for the mother and baby. In many situations it is less expensive than going to the hospital. There is too much ignorance in childbearing today resulting in a false sense of security with doctors and hospitals. Also going with a real birth center is more relaxing, with more of a chance to get the much needed rest after the birth. A hospital will make it clear they are not a hotel, and you will have nurses in and out every 20 mintutes waking mother and to take the temperature unnecessarily.
